Facebook Post by Sleepy Eye Medical Center:
Today, we celebrate Wendy Borth as she retires after a remarkable career at Sleepy Eye Medical Center.
Wendy first joined SEMC is 1983, caring for patients as an RN on the floor, in surgery, and as a charge nurse. She served in those roles until 2000, always putting patients first and ensuring they felt supported during their care.
In 2013, Wendy returned to SEMC and took on new roles–utilization review, transitional care management, and serving as our Health Care Home care coordinator. In these positions, she has been a strong advocate for patients, helping them navigate their health journeys, bridging communication between patients and care teams, and ensuring ongoing support beyond the walls of SEMC.
When asked what she’ll miss most, Wendy shared that it’s the people: her coworkers and her patients.
Wendy, thank you for your incredible (almost) 29 years of service across both chapters of your SEMC career. Your compassion, dedication, and advocacy have touched countless lives and created a lasting impact on our community.
