{"id":138911,"date":"2024-06-22T18:22:55","date_gmt":"2024-06-22T23:22:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sleepyeyeonline.com\/goodnews\/?p=138911"},"modified":"2024-06-22T18:22:55","modified_gmt":"2024-06-22T23:22:55","slug":"randal-peterson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sleepyeyeonline.com\/goodnews\/randal-peterson\/","title":{"rendered":"Randal Peterson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sleepyeyeonline.com\/goodnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/8986364_fbs.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-138912\" title=\"8986364_fbs\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sleepyeyeonline.com\/goodnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/8986364_fbs.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sleepyeyeonline.com\/goodnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/8986364_fbs.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.sleepyeyeonline.com\/goodnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/8986364_fbs-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>Randal \u201cRandy\u201d Craig Peterson, age 67 of New Ulm died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral service will be 11 am on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, at the Bernadotte Lutheran Church in Bernadotte, Minnesota. \u00a0Pastor Mike Zaske will officiate, and burial will follow in the Bernadotte Lutheran Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held from 9-11 am on Tuesday at the church prior to the service.<\/p>\n<p>To leave an online condolence for his family, or to sign the online guestbook, go to: mvfh.org<\/p>\n<p>Randy is survived by his sister, Paullette (Allen) Botten of Albert Lea; his brothers, Bradley (Cathy) Peterson of New Ulm, Kevin Peterson of New Ulm; and his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Gerry Peterson; and his infant nephew, Jon Peterson.<\/p>\n<p>Randal \u201cRandy\u201d Craig Peterson was born February 24, 1957, in New Ulm to Wallace and Germaine (Dietz) Peterson. \u00a0Growing up in New Ulm, Randy was a 1975 graduate from the New Ulm High School. \u00a0As a man who loved a good adventure and enjoyed flight, Randy attained his pilot\u2019s license shortly out of high school. \u00a0 Early in his working career, he worked for Walsh Ag Equipment Manufacturing, and later worked for the Sleepy Eye Herald Newspaper. \u00a0Later in life, Randy found his true calling to work in real estate. Randy enjoyed the connections he was able to make with the countless families he worked for as a realtor most recently with Krenz Real Estate. \u00a0Randy was a true man of the people. \u00a0His easy-going personality made it quite simple to become friends with him the minute you met him. \u00a0He always knew how to find a good time, and always took time to visit and connect with his family, friends, and neighbors. \u00a0His family was always the most important to him. \u00a0Randy was a member of the Bernadotte Lutheran Church. \u00a0Although his passing was sudden and unexpected, Randy\u2019s life will not be forgotten. \u00a0Countless memories of the good times and laughs shared will forever stay in the hearts and minds of all who had the privilege of knowing him. \u00a0Blessed be his memory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Randal \u201cRandy\u201d Craig Peterson, age 67 of New Ulm died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
