Trapshooting Season Wraps Up for Sleepy Eye FFA, Fischer wins last Shoot<\/p>\n

The Sleepy Eye FFA Chapter has completed its trap shooting season.\u00a0 There were four shoots for the season: Springfield, Mt. Lake, Sleepy Eye, and Windom.<\/p>\n

Gavin Fischer (right) was the winner of the final Trap Shoot of the season in Windom. Fischer was the top shooter of 120 total individuals. Fischer was 4th place individual at the Sleepy Eye Shoot. Trap shooting is one of the three major forms of competitive\u00a0clay pigeon shooting<\/a>. The objective of the trap shooting team is to involve students in the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship, ethical behavior, along with safe and responsible use of firearms. The program also helps members develop self-confidence, personal discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork.<\/p>\n

The 2024 Sleepy Eye FFA Trap Shoot Team Members who participated in the shoots this year included:\u00a0Trevor Rathman, Aiden Krzmarzick, Ari Krzmarzick, Davin Suess, Caleb Suess, Gavin Fischer, Jacob Fulmer, Jared Trebesch, Kaden Braun, Kayla Hecht, Logan Ludewig, Noah Rossbach, Oliver Trebesch, Shea Evers, Grayson Hansen, Briella Walser, Graysen Evers, Wyatt Feucht,\u00a0Kyle Nelson, Jaxon Steffl, Rylan Trebesch, Jax Como, and Carsten Nienhaus.<\/p>\n

Highlights from each of the shoots include:<\/p>\n

Mt. Lake Shoot \u2013 Top Sleepy Eye Team placed 13th<\/sup>; Wyatt Feucht Top Sleepy Eye Individual Shooter\u00a0(28 total teams, 130 total shooters)<\/p>\n

Springfield Shoot \u2013 Top Sleepy Eye Team placed 4th<\/sup>; Trevor Rathman, 6th<\/sup>\u00a0place Individual Shooter, 9th<\/sup>\u00a0place Individual Shooter (23 total teams, 96 total shooters)<\/p>\n

Sleepy Eye Shoot \u2013 Top Sleepy Eye Team placed 2nd<\/sup>; Gavin Fischer, 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0place Individual Shooter\u00a0(23 total teams, 92 total shooters)<\/p>\n

Windom Shoot \u2013 Top Sleepy Eye Team placed 3rd<\/sup>; Gavin Fischer, Overall 1st<\/sup>\u00a0Place Top Individual Shooter (29 total teams, 120 total shooters)<\/p>\n

This year the team was sponsored by the\u00a0Sleepy Eye Sportsman\u2019s Club, Darfur Sportsman\u2019s Club, Brown County Pheasants Forever, and MDHA Sunrise Chapter.\u00a0They sponsored shooting registration fees and team shirts and sweatshirts.\u00a0 Their support is much appreciated by the team members!\u00a0 The team had a great season and is looking forward to next year!<\/p>\n
