On Monday, April 14th, 13 Sleepy Eye FFA members traveled to Westbrook, Minnesota for the Region VI FFA Awards Banquet.\u00a0Numerous members were recognized for their excellence, and Lucia Martinez Paredes and Alex Confer were officially inducted into the 2025-26 Region Officer Team as Reporter and Student Advisor respectively.<\/p>\n

The Region VI Proficiency winners this year from Sleepy Eye included: Logan Ludewig (Ag. Mechanics Repair & Maintenance), Rachel\u00a0Portner (Dairy Production Placement), Jasmine Petermann (Diversified Ag. Production Placement), Taylor Berkner (Vegetable Production).<\/p>\n

In Career Development Events, the\u00a0Best Informed Greenhand\u00a0Team of\u00a0Ava Sellner, Camryn Maher, Kenley Jensen, Millie Lax & JP Montemayor earned 1st<\/sup>\u00a0in the Region with Ava Sellner being the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0place individual.<\/p>\n

The Dairy Cattle Evaluation team of Rachel Portner, Jared Portner, Lucia Martinez Paredes, and Charlie Hoffmann took 1st<\/sup>\u00a0place in the Region with Rachel Portner being the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0place individual.<\/p>\n

The Soils Team team of Wyatt Feucht, Oliver Trebesch, Ethan Feucht, and Carson Sellner earned 1st<\/sup>\u00a0place in the Region with Wyatt Feucht being the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0place individual in the contest.<\/p>\n

For Leadership Development Events, the following Sleepy Eye members earned 1st<\/sup>\u00a0place in their contests: Taylor Berkner \u2013 Employment Skills and Camryn Maher \u2013 Creed.<\/p>\n

It has been a successful year for the Sleepy Eye FFA and members are looking forward to the State FFA Convention at the end of April to compete and earn their State Degrees and other individual and Chapter awards.<\/p>\n
