Steve Jensen and Jerry Piehl received the special blanket from <em>Quilt of Valor Foundation<\/em> representative Paula Domena and assistant Patti Peterson during a ceremony held at Veteran&#8217;s Park.<\/p>\n<p>Piehl and Jensen are both Vietnam War Veterans.<\/p>\n<p>Domena (former Sleepy Eye Resident Paula Murphy), a veteran herself, stitched the quilts. (Patti is also a Sleepy Eye Native &#8211; Patti Murphy)<\/p>\n\n\t\t<div class=\"box info  \">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"box-inner-block\">\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"fa tie-shortcode-boxicon\"><\/span>A Quilt of Valor\u00ae (QOV) is a quality, handmade quilt that is machine or hand quilted. It is awarded to a Service Member or Veteran who has been touched by war.
