\"\"<\/a>Betty L. Krenz, age 99 of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, died on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Sleepy Eye Rehabilitation Center. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Visitation will continue on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Evan. A funeral service will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Evan on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Online condolences may be left for the family at\u00a0www.sturmfh.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Betty Lois (Adams) Krenz, the daughter of Stuart and Lillian (Schmidt) Adams, was born on February 13, 1926, in Morgan, Minnesota. She attended school in Sleepy Eye, graduating in 1944. Betty furthered her education at Johnson School of Beauty and became a hairdresser, working at Mel\u2019s in Springfield, Minnesota. On September 14, 1946, Betty married Ferdinand Krenz and they were blessed with seven sons whom they raised on their farm where they lived for 55 years. After moving to town, Betty joined Ferd in developing Krenz Real Estate and Auction Service in Sleepy Eye.<\/p>\n

Being active in the community and helping where she could, Betty was involved in 4-H, Red Hats, and she held offices in many organizations. She was recognized as Volunteer of the Year for Faith in Action and was named Brown County Senior Volunteer of the Year. Betty was very active in the VFW Auxiliary and supported many veterans\u2019 activities. She was an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Evan where she taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and\u00a0being with her family.<\/p>\n

Betty is survived by her sons, Keith (Lynette) Krenz, Ken (Jan) Krenz, Mark (Chandra) Krenz, Lynn (Joyce) Krenz, and Rick (Patti) Krenz;\u00a0daughters-in-law, Leah (Pat) Krenz and Kathy (Larry) Krenz;\u00a020 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferd Krenz; sons, Pat Krenz and Larry Krenz; brother, Jerry (Georgia) Adams; and many beloved relatives.<\/p>\n

Memorials preferred to Gillette Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n
