SUSPECT: Randy Thomas Zimmerman, age 45, 51846 County Road 21, Courtland, Minnesota 56021<\/p>\n
On Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 0422 hours, Brown County dispatch received a 9-1-1 call from a juvenile witness who stated that his mom\u2019s ex-boyfriend, Randy Thomas Zimmerman, broke into their house and shot his mom.<\/p>\n
Upon law enforcement entering the house, it was determined that two victims, 50 year old male victim and 32 year old female victim, had both died from gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n
A nationwide Brown County, Minnesota warrant was issued for the arrest of Randy Thomas Zimmerman in the double homicide in Hanska, Minnesota.<\/p>\n
Randy Thomas Zimmerman was arrested and taken into custody by law enforcement in Iowa on 11-02-2025 at 1612 hours. The Iowa law enforcement agencies effecting the arrest included the Louisa County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Iowa; the Washington County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Iowa; the Muscatine County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Iowa; and the Iowa State Patrol. The Brown County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Minnesota does not have any details as to the events surrounding the arrest of Randy Zimmerman in Iowa.<\/p>\n
