They will be recognized alongside Roger and Linda Sauerbrey of Mayer and Donavon Stromberg of Mora.<\/p>\n<p>The Bartzes operate a successful hog, corn and soybean farm and have long been leaders in Minnesota agriculture. Greg\u2019s veterinary expertise and management skills have strengthened their farm\u2019s operations, and Mary spent 28 years with General Mills and served in leadership roles with the National Cattlemen\u2019s Beef Association and the Minnesota Pork Board.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond their farm operation, Greg and Mary have been dedicated Farm Bureau members at the local, state and national levels. Greg served on the Brown County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, including terms as Vice President and President, and represented District II on the MFBF Board from 2004\u20132013. Mary has supported county Farm Bureau programs through photography, press releases and communications efforts. Together, they have hosted educational events, adopted sections of highway for community service, sponsored youth awards and volunteered at the Minnesota State Fair and other agricultural programs.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Greg has been active in public policy advocacy, mentoring future leaders and building collaborative relationships with legislators and commissioners of agriculture. Mary has supported youth development and agricultural communications initiatives.
