Ten young women were named as finalists for the 73rd<\/sup>\u00a0Princess Kay of the Milky Way<\/a>. This past weekend, dairy princesses from across the state gathered for the annual May Leadership Event held May 15-16\u00a0at the Delta Hotel in Minneapolis. The weekend included opportunities for networking, leadership\u00a0workshops\u00a0and a chance to compete for a finalist spot for Princess Kay of the Milky Way for young women rooted with a passion for dairy. This year\u2019s theme of \u201cThe Power of You,\u201d provided attendees with confidence in their leadership skills and knowledge through various inspiring and educational sessions.<\/p>\n

To compete to be a finalist for\u00a0Princess\u00a0Kay of the Milky Way, each princess\u00a0submitted\u00a0an application,\u00a0participated\u00a0in a professional interview, prepared and delivered a\u00a0speech\u00a0and\u00a0participated\u00a0in a mock media interview. Princess Kay candidates are judged on their general knowledge of the dairy industry, communication\u00a0skills\u00a0and enthusiasm for promoting dairy.<\/p>\n

Of the participants, ten finalists were named and will go on to compete for the title of Minnesota\u2019s 73rd<\/sup>\u00a0Princess Kay of the Milky Way in late August of\u00a02026.<\/p>\n
