Jesus Saenz

Jesus Saenz 08/28/1959-5/22/2025 Jesus A. Saenz, age 65, of Sleepy Eye, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Sleepy Eye Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on July 26, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Servicemen’s Club in

Sleepy Eye. Jesus is survived by his wife, Idalia; daughters and their spouses, Idalia and Carlos, and Anna and Charles; son and spouse, Jesus and Samantha; and his beloved grandchildren: Priscilla, Jazzibelle, CJ, Adan, Elsie, Claire, Amaya, and Julian. He is also survived by his brothers, Rafael, Lupe, Victor, and Mario, and his sister, Dora, along with their spouses, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Dora Saenz.

Jesus was born in Mexico and later moved to Texas, where he was raised and met the love of his life, Idalia. They married and had three beautiful children. A few years later, the family moved to Minnesota, where Jesus began working with a construction crew building Christensen Farms. After the project was completed, he was offered a job there and continued working until his retirement. He made many lifelong friends during his time there. Jesus’s favorite pastime was collecting coins and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, whom he loved more than anything in the world. Jesus will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his family.
