Leo “Lee” W. Braun
Leo “Lee” W. Braun 84, of Runaway Bay, TX, formerly of White Bear Lake, MN, passed away on June 19, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary; parents, Marie and Henry; and siblings, Henry, Joanie, Lloyd, and Alvin. Lee is survived by his children, LeeAnn, Tom (Julia), Bob (Shannon); grandchildren, Emily (Travis), Ben, Taylor (Adam), Jackson; great-grandchildren, Lizzie and Archer; siblings, Rosie, Robert, Brenda, and Kathleen; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Lee grew up on a farm in Sleepy Eye, MN before attending and playing football for the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 30 years. In 1984, he and his family moved to Texas. Lee was a family man and loved spending time with his kids when they were growing up and carried his love for football into coaching. He coached football, hockey and soccer. He also enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time in nature, especially with his beloved beagles, Yowser and Max Roger (affectionately named by his grandchildren -Emily and Ben). In his later years, he could be found enjoying life on Lake Bridgeport. He loved sitting on his back porch savoring the calmness of the outside. Lee was an extremely charitable and dedicated volunteer and parishioner at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur, TX and to his Catholic Faith throughout his life. His charm, sense of humor, and tough grit will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
