Banquet was held on Thursday, October 23rd. With 27 players, this is the largest team we have had in the 10+ years that I have been coaching with River Valley Tennis. It was a tough season overall but it was not unexpected. We knew we had a huge team full of girls that are willing to work and improve every day but there is simply one thing we cannot teach—experience. Experience is what a lot of the other teams in our section have and it is our biggest weakness right now. Even though the wins weren’t there this year, I am very happy with the growth the team had and I still found it to be a successful season for us.

First Award to recognize is the Minnesota State Tennis Coaches Association Silver Academic Award. This is an award for teams that have a cumulative GPA between 3.5-3.74.
