Sleepy Eye Sportsman’s Club says “Thanks”

 

Sleepy Eye Sportsmen’s Club would like to thank everyone who attended and helped with our 44th annual Fishing derby. Also thank you to the sponsors of our derby. Thank- you to area businesses that supported the derby, with sponsorships/donations and  the area towns businesses that sold raffle tickets on our behalf. Thank you to Expressway Convenience store for displaying the Ice Castle fish house and ticket sales. Thank you to Ice Castle of Montevideo. 

Thank you to the many volunteers who helped us with the derby, the Sleepy Eye Parks dept., the DNR, the Brown County Sheriff dept., City of Sleepy Eye, Mike Suess & the Holiday Lights in Motion for the use of their equipment & support Jared Miller, & Callie Rubie for managing the social media part of the derby. 

Also Thank You to Miller Sellner for displaying the ATV, selling tickets and for the many favors they’ve done for us over the years. Thank You Jeff Zinniel & Josh Krenz for taking care of snow removal by the landings, and Zinniel Tree service for campfire wood & fire ring.  Thank You also to Paul Fuchs for letting us use some hay bales.  Also, to club members for the use of their trailers & ATVs, UTVs, & vehicles used to haul materials & people around the Lake for the Derby, and for drilling the holes.  

Also, we would like to thank our Bait sponsors, Ace Hardware of SE, Napa of New Ulm, R&R Bait & Tackle of New Ulm, which also R&R handles the gun raffle part of our $10 ticket.  

Special thanks to Christina Andres and our Sleepy Eye Chamber for the advertising they did for us. 

Thank you to the Sleepy Eye Sportsmen’s Club members for the many hours dedicated to making the derby a success & to the participants who support our derby year after year, making it a great family event.
