Swenstad injured in crash

A 48-year-old Sleepy Eye man was injured when the truck he was driving rolled as he tried to avoid colliding with an SUV Tuesday afternoon a few miles south of Old Fort Road on the edge of Nicollet County.

Chad Michael Swenstad was driving a 2005 Sterling straight truck north on Highway 15 and Bryson Issaiah Milburn, 20, of New Ulm, was driving a southbound Ford Edge on Highway 15 at 1:51 p.m. when the car veered into the northbound lane, the State Patrol said. Swenstad swerved to avoid the SUV and the truck went off the roadway and overturned in a ditch.

Swenstad was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the hospital in New Ulm.

Both men were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the patrol said.
